INSPIRATION

ON DECEMBER 10TH, 2012 A MOVEMENT STRUCK THE WORLD CREATING AN INDIGENOUS MOVEMENT CALLED IDLE NO MORE. IDLE NO MORE IS A MOVEMENT THAT STARTED IN CANADA BY FOUR WOMAN WHO OPPOSED PRIME MINISTER HARPERS BILL (C-45) THAT WOULD INFRINGE ON INDIGENOUS RIGHTS FURTHER. THIS MOVEMENT TOOK ADVANTAGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA AND THE INTERNET TO QUICKLY SPREAD THROUGHOUT THE VIRTUAL COMMUNITIES OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD. EACH COMMUNITY CALLED FOR ACTION, TO IDLE NO MORE, AND ORGANIZE IN THE NAME OF OUR ANCESTORS, THE EARTH, AND OUR CHILDREN. TODAY, IDLE NO MORE IS GROWING TO BE ONE OF THE LARGEST MOVEMENTS OF INDIGENOUS PEOPLES ON THE EARTH, ASKING NOT ONLY FOR RESPECT AND THE RIGHTS THEY DESERVE BUT FOR THEIR RIGHTFUL PLACE IN HEALING THIS WORLD.
